Due to the tremendous growth that Corum Group is experiencing, the company is restructuring executive positions to further Corum's global expansion.
Bellevue, Washington (January 9, 2006) Corum Group, a global leader in M&A services to software and IT companies, today announces the promotion of Executive Vice President,Ward Carter, to the office of President. Bruce Milne, Corums founder and CEO, will maintain a leadership role in the company though he will focus increasing efforts on international development to expedite expansion into China and India during the next year.
"Ward has been a key factor in our success for the past nine years. His expertise has been instrumental in dozens of successful M&A transactions as well as operations and strategic planning for the Corum Group, says Milne.
Mr. Carter's technology background includes working in a variety of management positions with the Burroughs Corporation (later Unisys). Later, as vice president of a Wall Street investment firm and as principal in a regional venture firm, Mr. Carter raised capital for ventures in computer hardware, software, and biotechnology. As an executive for a Seattle based archival storage software company, he attracted venture capital and arranged the eventual acquisition of the company by a larger competitor. As president of InfoMatrix, and later Discovery Sales + Marketing, Mr. Carter provided hands-on sales and marketing consulting support to executives of emerging software companies. Ward built a clientele that spanned the country and included several international clients. Many of his clients needed capital to fund growth or assistance with an M&A exit, leading to a working relationship with Corum, which he joined in early 1997. He graduated with Honors from Seattle University with a BA in Business.
Further to this restructuring, Miro Parizek, Corum Groups International Senior Vice President, will become Managing Director and will oversee Corum Group International, based in Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Parizek concentrates on Corums European clients seeking inter-continental partnerships. He has founded both software and systems integration companies in Europe. Mr. Parizek is a founding member of the German Software Association (VSI) and has served on the VSI board since 1988. He graduated from University of Pennsylvanias Management and Technology Dual Degree Program, earning degrees from both the Wharton School of Business with a major in International Finance and Marketing, and the Moore School of Engineering with a major in Computer Science.
