Rob Wellman

Rob has more than 30 years of experience in executive leadership in the technology sector. Over the years he acquired eight companies and successfully sold four, along with an IPO in 2002. Rob’s first exit was in 1999 selling high availability software company Vinca corporation to Legato Systems for $94 million. As part of the executive team at Altiris Corporation, Rob helped lead the company through an IPO in 2002. Altiris was a global software systems management company with extraordinary growth over 7 years. He was integral in guiding Altiris through six acquisitions and ultimately selling to Symantec Corp. in 2007 for $830 million. Printelligent was a Salt Lake City based provider of managed print services – as CEO Rob guided Printelligent through rapid growth, including two acquisitions. Printelligent sold in 2011 to the world’s largest IT provider, Hewlett-Packard. VAR Business Magazine described Rob as one of the nation’s top tech executives. He showed his ability to scale across industries by starting social media management company Social5 in 2012. In 2012 social media was an emerging market. As founder and CEO, he created a “done-for-you” social and online management company. Social5 helped over 10,000 SMB’s across 400 industries and 11 countries with their social media and online reputation. Social5 sold to Canadian based Pluribus Corporation in 2022.
